Dr. Bhutani is dermatologist and clinical researcher in the Department of Dermatology at UCSF. She serves as co-director of the Psoriasis and Skin Treatment Center, a world-renowned clinic dedicated to the care of patients with inflammatory skin disease. Her clinical expertise includes the treatment of complex, treatment resistant cases of inflammatory skin diseases using unique combinations of topical agents, systemic treatments, biologics, and phototherapy. She also directs the Dermatology Clinical Research Unit at UCSF Dermatology, leading multiple trials aimed at learning more about what impacts inflammation in the skin and developing new and innovative treatments for skin diseases.
Dr. Liao is Professor and Vice Chair of Research in the UCSF Department of Dermatology. He serves as Co-Director of the UCSF Psoriasis and Skin Treatment Center and is deeply engaged in patient care, clinical trials, and translational research. The Liao laboratory studies the genetics and environmental triggers of inflammatory skin diseases such as atopic dermatitis, psoriasis, and hidradenitis suppurativa.
Dr. Brownstone received a BA degree in Psychology from Cornell University and attended medical school at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson. He trained for over 3 years as a resident in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery before switching to a career in Dermatology. Dr. Brownstone completed a fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco Department of Dermatology in Psoriasis, Phototherapy and Clinical Research and a fellowship in melanoma at the National Society for Cutaneous Medicine/Mount Sinai Icahn School of Medicine. He is currently a Dermatology resident at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
